World Habitat Day

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MHUD), Eswatini Housing Board (EHB) and Local Authorities commemorated World Habitat Day earlier today at the Royal Villas in Ezulwini.
During the Event the Principal Secretary also declared commitment by the ministry to improve the country's urbanisation through the development and implementation of policies that promote sustainable development.
The EHB Chief Executive officer , mr. Mduduzi Dlamini in his presentation highlighted the importance of adequete housing in the context of growing an economy through urbanisation. The CEO explained the efforts that EHB was making in order to build an inclusive balanced economy that created employement making homeownership accessible and affordable for Emaswati.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Principal Secretary, Dr. Simon Zwane, launched Urban October Eswatini, highlighting that the month of October marked various activities and engagements that would be done to encourage more efforts towards making human settlements and cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
