The Eswatini Housing Board (EHB) participated in the 2024 Eswatini International Trade Fair, showcasing its key ongoing and future projects to a diverse audience. At the event’s closing ceremony, EHB was honoured with First Placeaward in the SOE Utilities and Infrastructure Category, a recognition that highlighted its exceptional exhibition stand during the Trade Fair.
Showcasing EHB’s Vision for Eswatini’s Future
EHB’s exhibition at the trade fair was designed to highlight its achievements and future plans for housing in Eswatini. Among the key projects featured were the future KM111 estate and the Nation Housing and Infrastructure Program (NIHP), both crucial initiatives aimed at addressing the country's housing challenges. The stand also displayed a variety of EHB’s ongoing and upcoming projects, including existing townships, rental housing, and estates, offering stand visitors a comprehensive view of the organization's vision for the future of Eswatini.
Engaging the Public and Gathering Insights
EHB also took the opportunity to engage with the public by conducting a survey to gather feedback on housing preferences from Emaswati. Visitors were encouraged to participate by scanning QR codes to access a housing preference survey. EHB’s team engaged with attendees, answering questions and discussing the organization’s commitment to providing inclusive, sustainable housing solutions.
A Royal Visit and Public Engagement
The EHB exhibition was graced by a royal visit from His Majesty the King, who toured the stand to learn more about EHB’s initiatives. During the King’s visit to the exhibition stand, the EHB CEO narrated the vision of the National Housing and Infrastructure Program.
Other prominent figures, such as Prime Minister Honourable Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Deputy Prime Minister Honourable Thulisile Dladla, and key government ministers paid a visit to the EHB Exhibition showing their support towards the initiative of enabling Emaswati to own homes .
