EHB gets ISO 9001:2015 QMS certificate

On Friday, 27 January 2023, Eswatini Housing Board (EHB) was officially awarded cetification for ISO 9001 Quality Management System. A handover ceremony was held at the EHB offices, where Mr. Hilton from TUV Rheinland officially handed over the accreditation certificate to EHB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mduduzi Dlamini.

ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management system is a standard that specifies requirements for quality management system. Organisations use this standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

SHEQ Manager, Ms. Nozipho Dlamini in her remarks stated that the journey towards certification was not an easy one however this success was a result of hard work and teamwork from all EHB staff. She further expressed that the organization is eager to improve other systems that would result in future improvement of EHB's products and services.

Representing TUV Rheinland, Mr. HIlton applauded EHB for achieving the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, stating that the certificate meant that when customers entered EHB premises they would know that EHB management was serious. He explained that this was because as TUV Rheinland, they tested EHB and can threfore certify that EHB is indeed serious about customer care.

EHB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mduduzi Dlamini in his remarks said, this achievement marked the beginning of a journey to making the lives of emaSwati better. He further explained that EHB has a critical role in creating a happy, productive and inspired nation of emaSwati. "We all know that without a house the isn't a family, there isn't a life, without a familty there is no community and if we do not have a community we do not have a nation" he said.

EHB staff and management also expressed excitement for obtainng certification which ultimately means that as a team they were recognised for being consistent in their efforts towards excellent customer service.
